The annual cartoon competition named “Are You the Ones We Couldn’t Globalize?” was joined by 477 works of 148 cartoonists from 34 countries. Gülfidan Özdilek from Elazığ, Turkey selected as the winner of the competition.

The second cartoon competition in Seferihisar was organized last year after the competition with the SlowCity theme.

34 COUNTRIES 148 ARTISTS 477 WORKS

477 works by148 artists from 34 countries joined the competition. The works were collected at Seferihisar Children Municipality and were evaluated by the Jury. The President of the Jury was cartoonist Kamil Masaracı from Cumhuriyet newspaper. The other members of the Jury were artists Menekşe Çam, Ayten Köse, İzel Rozental, Eray Özbek, Seferihisar Mayor and Cittaslow Turkey Coordinator Tunç Soyer and Seferihisar Child Mayor Selin Ada.

THE WINNER IS FROM ELAZIĞ

The winner of the competition became Gülfidan Özdilek from Elazığ. The First Runner-up was Vasily Alexondrov from Russia and the 2nd Runner-up became Seyran Caferli from Azerbaijan.  Seferihisar Municipality Special Prize were given to Zait Altay from Germany, the Children Municipality Special Prize went to Halil Kurtulmuş from Bursa, Schneidertempel Art Center Special Prize went to Pooya Abdali from Iran.

AWARDED WITH A WEEK VACATION IN SEFERIHISAR

The winners of the competition were awarded with a week vacation for two people in these facilities in Seferihisar: Euphoria Aegean Resort & Spa, Club Resort Atlantis and Teos Ormancı Holiday Village.
