Intl. Food and Culture Festival

Dokuz Eylül University (DEU) Seferihisar Fevziye Hepkon Applied Sciences High-School organized “20 Countries 20 Tastes Intl. Food and Culture Festival” for foreign students.

The festival enabled the foreign students living in Izmir to gather, exchange their knowledge on culture and international cuisine. The students were free to cook their national dishes in the kitchen-laboratory built-in the high-school, while the guests enjoyed their time at the school yard with live music.

5000 FOREIGN STUDENTS IN IZMIR

İzmir Turks Abroad and Foreign Communities President Selvet Çetin said that there are 5000 foreign people studying in Izmir: “This is a treasure for our city. The foreign students introduce their culture in here and learn our culture. This event has a great potential and means a lot for everyone. “

THE IRANIAN STUDENTS WON THE FOOD CONTEST
In the scope of the contest, the students cooked their national dishes to present the jury. The jury selected the Iranian cuisine as the winner, which followed by Turkish and Jordan food.
