Seferihisar Municipality hosted a feast-breaking meal for 2.000 people on the last day of the Ramadan. For this special purpose, the Ataturk Street was closed to public for a couple of hours and long tables placed.
Just before the evening meal, the District Governor Resul Celik and Seferihisar Mayor Tunc Soyer greeted every guest. The hodjas of the nearby mosques led the evening and bayram prayer. The evening followed by a dervish dance and concert by the Ask-ı Seda group.
Mayor Soyer thanked the guests for their participation to the evening meal. Soyer said: “We hope to host this event every year to provide solidarity among our citizens. We truly appreciate the kind support of the donators, first of all Orhan Ala and the volunteered personnel to our soup kitchen for the whole month. We wish peace and plenty for the Ramadan feast. “
