Seferihisar Municipality has started the construction of the new facilities for Children Municipality. The new facilities will expand to 3,5 acres including a bigger park for the children and families.
MORE THAN A PARK
The new project will include four cottages for workshops, a covered theatre stage of 100 sqm, 2 backstage rooms, mini football and basketball field for children under 12, disabled playground, disabled swing, ball pool, rest areas, a greenhouse and offices.
The greenhouse will host agriculture lessons, which will also serve as a preliminary for an agriculture school. The existing park and trees will be preserved and enhanced, new trees will be planted. The facility will be under surveillance for 7/24.

Seferihisar Mayor Tunc Soyer commented as follows: “We started this project with great enthusiasm. The Children Municipality now has 700 registered students and the facilities need to be extended to reach the increasing number of children. The foundations like Children Municipality do exist in developed countries. We push beyond our resources to support the education of children, to discover their talents and to raise them as global citizens. “
TO BE OPENED IN AUTUMN
The 1,5 millions TL project will be paid by Seferihisar Municipality’s own equity. The new facility will be solely for children and planned to be opened in October.
