The 10th Travel Turkey Tourism & Gastronomy Fair opened on Thursday 8th in Izmir. The visitors have been highly interested in the kiosk of Seferihisar Municipality.
The fair, organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, IZFAS, TURSAB and Ministry of Culture and Tourism, can be visited in Fuar Izmir fair center in Izmir until December 11th.
Mr. Nabi Avci, Minister of Culture and Tourism, Izmir Governor Erol Ayyildiz, Izmir Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu and the leading professionals of the sector attended the opening ceremony. The partner city of the fair was Mersin and the international destination partner has been selected as Akabe.
Great attention to Seferihisar
Turkey’s first Cittaslow Seferihisar also participated in the fair to introduce the town to the prominent names of the tourism and gastronomy sector. The Seferihisar kiosk includes local products to taste like olive oil from century-old trees and thermal dried tangerines. Seferihisar Municipality is known for its supporting practices for increasing income of farmers, rural areas and women, also cooperative initiatives.
Seferihisar Mayor Tunc Soyer was present at the Municipality kiosk at the first day to assist the facilites, introduced the district and offered local products to the visitors.
