Seferihisar Municipality has been managing İztur-Sertur Compound public beach in Akarca since 2012 according to the Blue Flag standards. This beach is free for public use. Aligning with Blue Flag regulations, the sea water samples were being tested regularly. Upon the request of the municipality, on 26/06/2018 the sea water samples from İztur-Sertur Compound and Akarca public beaches has been taken by Seferihisar Directorate of Public Health and sent to the laboratory for analysis. Until the next announcement, these beaches shall not be used for swimming or recreational purposes.
The reasons for the contamination are being examined and the sea water samples are being taken regularly. Further announcements will be made if the contamination levels fall into desired limits.
