The awards of Seferihisar Slow City Cartoon Competition organized by Seferihisar Municipality awards has been presented to it’s respective owners.
The winner of the competition was Kustovsky Oleksy from Ukraine, Isa Yuksel from Turkey was placed second and Galym Boranbayev from Kazakstan became the third.
The special prizes were distributed such as: Seferihisar Municipality special prize went to Bilal Akay (Turkey), Schneider Tempel Art Center special prize Hicabi Demirci (Turkey), Cumhuriyet Newspaper special prize Sajat Rafeei (Iran) The Journalists’ Union of Turkey special prize to Engin Selçuk (Turkey), Scrikss special prize Valentine Georgiev (Bulgaria), Omer Cam and Menekse Cam, İbrahim Tuncay (Turkey) and İzabela Kowalska (Poland).
Seferihisar, the first Cittaslow and the Cittaslow capital in Turkey representing the slow pace of life organized a cartoon competititon on SlowCity. 180 cartoonist from all over the world joined the competition with more than 600 works. The Jury consisted of Meral Onat, Gurbuz Dogan Eksioglu, Izel Rozental, Toti Buratti and the Cumhuriyet Newspaper Cartoonist Kamil Masaraci as the President of the Jury.
ALL INCLUSIVE VACATION AWARDS
The rewards were delivered by Seferihisar Mayor Tunc Soyer at the ceremony at the Children Municipality. The finalists were granted a complimentary all-inclusive vacation for two in one of the five star hotels in Seferihisar, Euphoria Aegean Resort Spa, Club Resort Atlantis and Teos Village Ecological Holiday Village along with Scrikss special prize and plaque.
The cartoons placed in the competition will be exhibited in the Children Municipality Cartoon House (Karikaturlu Ev) for a month.
