International Transparency Association announced the winners of 2018 Transparency Awards on December 9th 2018, the International Anti-Corruption Day. Seferihisar Mayor Tunç Soyer has been rewarded with the Transparent Governance Award due to the municipal policies on accountability and participation. The awards of the association will be presented on Tuesday 11th of December in Istanbul.
Seferihisar’s Sustainable Model Shall Be A Good Example for Turkey
International Transparency Association is arranging for the presentation of its Transparency Awards addressing the support for the anti-corruption activities and enhancement of governance policies like transparency, fairness and good-governance for the fourth year in a row. The award winners of 2018 were announced before the presentation ceremony.
Upon detailed reports issued by the association on every award category, municipal activities of Seferihisar on accountability and participation has been highlighted in detail. The report indicated that the sustainable growth model of Seferihisar could be a good example to the local governments in Turkey.
