The main speaker of the conference was Prof. Dr. Tanay Sıdkı Uyar, Academia of Marmara University and the President of Renewable Energy Association of Turkey.
Seferihisar Mayor Tunç Soyer uttered that they are aware of the importance of using renewable energy resources and follow the international developments on this area: "There is an worldwide agenda of significant importance of renewable energy, the Habitat III meeting in October is about climate change. Due to Paris Agreement signed by 195 countries, 100 billions of dollars were allocated to tackle climate change. The world nations are trying to renew the wasted resources. The solution is in renewable energy and we want to produce our own local solutions. I would like to welcome our reputable lecturer, who will give us information about the subject.”
Prof.Dr.Tanay Sıdkı Uyar gave international examples on oil, mine and wind energy consumption. Prof. Uyar explained the scientific studies on wind energy and the results and the possible approaches to adopt in Turkey.
