Turkey’s first Cittaslow Seferihisar was introduced at the international project week on slow tourism organized by The Association of European Tourism Education Institutions (ACEEPT) at Spain’s Zaragoza University. The meeting was the meeting ground for 100 students and 20 scholars from 10 European universities. Tourism Guidance and Management students of Yasar University in Turkey found the opportunity to introduce Seferihisar, the Cittaslow capital of Turkey.
A UNIVERSITY FROM EVERY COUNTRY
Yasar University attended the meeting as Turkey representative to ACEEPT, which acknowledges a delegate university from every country. Yasar students made a presentation named ‘Seferihisar: Slow City’ about Seferihisar’s environmental policies, infrastructure, local production and promotion of local products and hospitality options. The students also seized this opportunity to gain more insight on targeting niche markets and developing value added products by expert lecturers.
