Busy doing farming and gardening all day, attended theatre courses in the evening. The residents of Ulamis village of Seferihisar staged a play in Maltepe, Istanbul, which got standing ovation by the audience.
The residents of Ulamis volunteered for theatre courses provided by Seferihisar municipality. After four months training, the 30 players at the age of 14-17 stage their play "Stories of Life” in Maltepe municipality’s Prof.Dr. Türkan Saylan Culture Center in Istanbul.
At the end of the play, Vedat Murat Güzel, the instructor of Seferihisar Municipality Theatre Ensemble (SEFTIT), thanked for the encouraging support of Seferihisar Mayor Tunc Soyer and said that the play will have more appearances in Izmir.

Seferihisar Mayor Tunç Soyer commented on the play such as: "The success of Ulamış village theatre indicates that success is possible if people were provided opportunities. They had a relatively short training, leant the play by heart and performed in Istanbul. They not only had a successful performance but also promoted Ulamis and Seferihisar. We are really proud of them. They will continue performing new plays in the coming time. I would like to thank Maltepe Mayor Ali Kılıç for his support.”
